COURSES TAUGHT:
KG-5TH PHYSICAL EDUCATION & Health
The main purpose of Physical Education is to motivate and stimulate ambition in the people involved for the greatest usefulness of themselves and humanity. It is my desire to lead and innovate in the creation of educational environments where students become self-directed, self-motivated, and cognizant participants of an ever-changing global society. In my Physical Education classes, I am the teacher, a sculpture, a creator, a researcher, an artist, and a role model for my pupils. I must indoctrinate into the minds of my pupils that a healthy body is a healthy mind.
My primary goal as a physical educator is to reach every student from the physically gifted to the physically challenged. My curriculum includes a balance of skills, concept, game activities and experiences designed to enhance the cognitive, motor, affective, and physical fitness development of every student; as well as, providing experience that encourage student to question, integrate, analyze, communicate, apply cognitive concepts, and gain a wide multicultural view of the world.
Physical Education can be the most beneficial part of a young person's physical, mental, and social growth. It encourages self-confidence, leadership, communication, and behavioral skills. I facilitate and encourage student physical development so students will be successful in all aspects of their education as well as in their future because only through equality teaching and modeling can true educational enlightenment happen.
